Questions to Ask Addiction Doctors

Doctors who are board-certified in addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry have the highest level of training in the treatment of alcohol and drug use disorders. You don't need to confirm whether they offer evidence-based care. Instead, we've provided this brief script that may be helpful when you call them.

Note that you will probably speak with an office assistant who works in the doctor's office.
